Louise and Neil's wedding was such a perfect wedding day. We say (and it's true!) weddings are always about the people and Louise and Neil, their families and friends are what made the day special. It would be hard to ignore all the beautiful rustic wedding details, many of which were hand made by Louise and Neil and their friends.
The ceremony took place at St Nicholas' Church in Studland, the present building dates from the 12th century but there has been a church on this site from Saxon times and was full to the rafters (literally as there are pews upstairs) with love and the singing of the church choir added to atmosphere, such a wonderful ceremony.
The Dorset wedding reception venue was literally just a 5 minute drive down to the beach, to the amazing Studland Bay House, overlooking some of the most beautiful beaches in the Bournemouth area. The beaches are managed by the National Trust and even in the summer never get too busy (one of Dorset's best kept beachy secrets?!). A very unusual Dorset wedding with tipi tents (or is that teepee wedding marquees) which added to the relaxed beach wedding theme.
We were able to pop to the beaches with Louise and Neil in their vintage vw camper van as there was a good amount time in the schedule and planned in for some romantic couple images at the beach. Whenever the ceremony and reception venues are in different places allowing time while guests meander their way to the reception means they won't miss the couple for 30 minutes while they arrive, have some canapes and freshen up.
Truly one of the most fun and relaxed wedding days from last summer, much credit has to go to Louise and Neil, a huge amount of effort on their parts to bring the day together and a real desire to enjoy the day and their guests. It would be remiss not to mention Melanie Kiani of Bellissimo Events and her team of helpers, who worked in a relaxed, warm, friendly and efficient way. Never obtrusive but close enough to hand if needed and making sure everything was perfect, allowing Louise and Neil to get on and enjoy their wedding day.
Many congratulations to Louise and Neil from Teri and I!
Though we are not often about blowing our own trumpet(s) we were honored to win for the third time the prestigious MPA Wessex Wedding Photographer of the Year award with the beach wedding photograph below. Much thanks as always must go to our clients, who trust us to create special images for them and allow us time on their wedding days to make something totally unique :)
