Anna and Ian's August wedding at Whitley Ridge in the New Forest was the first time Teri and I have photographed a wedding at this New Forest Wedding Venue and we had a blast!
The wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Whitley Ridge Manor House near Brockenhurst and there was a very relaxed and intimate feel to the day, having just a small number of family and friends.
One of the fun things Anna and Ian had asked was for a re-creation of a treasured family photograph taken nearly 100 years ago. While we don't often so formally pose group shots it can be fun and the aged sepia effect Teri added made the wedding photo very similar in tint and tone with the 100 year old image Anna had shown us.
Whitley Ridge itself is a wonderful venue, a hotel with a manor house feel and wonderful landscaped grounds for the romantic shots with Anna and Ian, the timing could not have worked out better as we managed to capture the warm evening sunlight.
Wishing Anna and Ian very many congratulations from Teri and I! :)

A huge thank you to Teri and David! We are absolutely delighted with the photos. The ones above are just a small sample, we have so many wonderful images and such a variety.
ReplyDeleteWe got to meet Teri and David for the first time at our engagement shoot and got on so well. They made us feel so relaxed and it was like meeting up with old friends on the wedding day. Teri made my day extra special by doing my make-up and even rescued my hair by re-curling it! They made us laugh, feel completely comfortable and confident. Family and friends were so impressed by their approach and the incredible results.
Choosing a wedding photographer had been such a daunting task, and we spent so long researching possible companies and individuals before signing up with Murakami. Ian wasn’t initially sure about the need for a pre-wedding ‘engagement shoot’ but the day was so much fun. Teri and David gave us so much of their time and had so many ideas. They took the opportunity to study the venue and the light and to get a feel from us if we had creative ideas of what we wanted. The results from that shoot were fantastic and it was then that we both realized we’d hit gold in finding the perfect people to share our day with us and produce photographs we’d treasure for years to come. On the wedding day they knew the exact times to capture the golden light and the best backgrounds to incorporate having invested their time in getting to know us and our venue.
We couldn’t recommend them enough. They were competitively priced when compared to other photographers (plus you get two photographers compared to your traditional one, which is perfect as some photos capture relatives smiling at the camera but you’ll always get those special moments captured behind the scenes which are not posed and often show more gritty emotion). It was – as every wedding day should be – the best day of my life. It just didn’t last long enough! I didn’t want the day to end but at least we now have the stunning photos to keep the memories alive and got to meet two friendly and very creatively inspiring people in the process. We are both very glad they were part of our special day.
