Christchurch Priory and Chewton Glen Weddings with Nicola and Craig

A real pleasure to be able to share Nicola and Craig's March wedding on the blog, such and amazing day in so many ways and a wonderful group of family and friends.

The start of the day saw David and I meet up with Nicola and Craig at Chewton Glen in the New Forest for getting ready images and prep before the wedding ceremony at the stunning Christchurch Priory. There were so many memorable parts to the day that it would be a long list to mention them all. The ceremony was brilliant, the staff at Chewton Glen did a wonderful job looking after everyone as usual and we were all treated to wonderful entertainment by the singing waiters (a total surprise for guests and very unique!).

One of the fun things for us was jumping into the buggies and venturing up to the treehouses where Nicola and Craig would be staying for the night of the wedding. We love to include things which are unique and personal to the couple and the locations and being able to include Nicola and Craig's treehouse was perfect for the romantic portraits.

We often get to work with other talented professionals and want to give shouts out to Melanie and the team at Bellissimo Weddings who helped plan so many of the amazing details. On the day Melanie made sure everything flowed seamlessly while Nicola and Craig and their wedding guests got on with enjoying the day. Working with videographers can often be an experience, often positive, Ben and Kate of Kissing Gate Films were not only very professional but warm, friendly and talented to boot, fully recommended. The flowers on the day and throughout the wedding breakfast room were remarkable and all the work of the team at Corbins Florist really a perfect compliment for the styling on the day :)

Hampshire Engagement Photography, Tomoko and Chris

It was a lot of fun to get to know Tomoko and Chris during their Hampshire Engagement session.

Very much looking forward to getting together again for the wedding, our first destination wedding of the year this May at Orestone Manor (Torquay here we come!).

Ian Stuart Wedding Dresses, New Collection Shoot

It was wonderful to be asked to photograph some of our favourite designer wedding dresses this past Autumn, we've been lucky to photograph real brides in many of Ian Stuart wedding dresses over the years and without doubt they are some of the most stunning wedding gowns from a UK bridal designer.

Many brides have always imagined walking down the aisle in a large white wedding dress but it's fun to see that other less traditional colours can work and be just as beautiful. The wedding dresses are all part of the new Ian Stuart wedding dresses 2013 Supernova collection and we were amongst the first to see them. The dresses featured as part of the shoot were Carmen, Vanity Fair, Kahlua, Monsoon and Orange Blossom.

The concept was include a little Autumnal colour as well as show off the designer dresses against a stunning backdrop, a really cool wedding venue right on the Dorset coast called Pennsylvania Castle. Huge thanks for Tracy at Wedding Time Bridal Saloon in Dorchester supplied the dresses (if you are in the search for your dream wedding dress you must visit Wedding Time in Dorchester) who trusted us with the dresses and looked after all the models for the day.

Thanks goes as well to Angela of Angela's Floral Design for creating the bouquets as well as being mum to Chole, one of the models for the day along with Nicole (one of our past wedding clients!) and Jo of Penn Castle. Hair design by Helen of Salon on the Square in Beaminster did an amazing job and our own Teri was the professional make-up artist for the day (as well as creating many of the images below!).
